hilux diff gears

i have a 98 hilux ifs front suspension ive just fitted a 4 inch lift and 33 tyres,i have 4.5 diff gears ive been told with the bigger tyres fit 4.8 gears and someone else told me to put in 4.1 gears ,can someone tell me which way i should go

you would prob find that it would have a pin with 30 on it instead of two 87 unless it was a change over relay.a change over relay would be better if you wanted both horns on the toggle switch .it would be most likely that the horns are neg (-) switched so if ya get a change onver relay run the 30 ...

youll prob find that the two wires should connect to your air horn pump ,most likely have a permanent positive and switched earth. if it doesnt work properly ya may have a voltage drop in the wires somewhere ,in that case when ya hook up the relay connect the original terminals to connectors 86 and ...

is it an original system or aftermarket that was fitted ,it could be low on gas some systems have a pressure switch fitted if the gas level is low it will switch the system off.

you should be able to upgrade the alternator you have on there ,theres two ways buy a new one with bigger amps or have the original striped and rebuilt with a bigger rotor ,new rectifier,and coil .but ya might find it would be cheaper to buy a new alternator

when ya switch off the car try disconnecting the ignition switch wiring may have a fault with the ign switch if it still runs ya may have a short in the wiring

sounds like an alt prob it should be charging a little higher round 26 volts even at idle it should be higher then 20 .even check ya alt belt make sure it tight

there a great solenoid for dual batt systems but wouldnt recomend super cheap get a decent one,hook it up so it is joined when the ignition is on but is dissconnected when cranked then reconnected ,ya could even fit a switch to it if ya main dies flick the swicth and ya have power from both to get ...

id be checking ya fusible links usally they should be on ya positive batt terminal if they heat up they can break and could be the cause
