the 1HDFT is the multivalve turbo diesel found in late model 80 series and early 100 series. They are a very good and strong motor and still mechanically injected which makes them easier for a conversion. They should (will) drop straight in place of a 1hz, you will need to modify some electrics but ...

the 6.5 chev is a good swap BUT it is all going to depend what you want out of it .... IMO the 6.5 Diesel revs hard like a petrol but the redline is around 3800RPM so it doesnt have the top end you would expect . if you want a highway cruiser or a rock crawler the its definately a good choice ...

Hey...my little worthless bit of input...spoke to someone who had just put a 6.2 in his GU patrol and i asked if brunswick did the install...he said no and that he'd bought it off them and had someone else do it cause brunswick were having some issues with their installs. Just something to add ...

I've been running a 6.2 from Brunswick for the last 3+ years, (on 33's) and havnt had a problem. If you want torque and lots of it, go v8 diesel. If you want instant power, go petrol v8. Just wondering if you have had any overheating problems with vehicle as it is quite warm in Darwin. Living ...

I have a 1HZ 100 series landcruiser dualcab with dts aftermarket turbo.Thinking of putting in a 6.5ltr chev from brunswick diesel.Could anyone out there that has had one of these conversions please send me info wether it be good or bad.Thankyou
