Toyota Dyna Questions

I just bought myself a 1978 Dyna (no its not a type its 1978). it has the 5R 2.0litre petrol motor and a 5 spd gearbox running a PTO tipper. I want to swap the motor over as its painfully slow when its loaded but need to keep the gearbox and PTO for the tipper. Whats the easiest/cheapest "best bang ...

I tried calling the Sydney number for LPGAS1 today and it went to message bank all day :( . Not the kind of service I would want if I had a kit fitted with a problem or was it some kind of public holiday down there? I am sad to hear that Torquegas has such a bad reputation as I had the Mrs convinced ...

I have a torquegas system on my HJ61. Works well - when it works.... The pickup in the tank is designed to collect vapour only (high pressure). The sealed (clacker) box only contains a pressure switch and is only opened when given a signal from a relay. The relay only switches when 1. the dash ...

New to this forum I have a set of denco inlet pipes as I bought a PWR cooler only to find, that if you go by the PWR flow specs on the biggest that will fit under the bonnet (same size that denco use) you will find that your engine will choke up after 3000RPM EGT,s will sky rocket boost at manifold ...

I get around around 1000 - 1100km from the standard tanks. works out to be around 12l/100km I think. But in saying that depends how I drive it, last month I was really giving it some ...

Barno, Heaps of info on this if you search (lpg fumigation). And as of a few weeks ago rebate was still $2000 I believe.. This thread may prove useful. I rang around all the places I could find between sunny coast to gold coast and this was the cheapest price I found. http://www.lcool.org/forum ...

I di this mod and had the same problem with the brake light coming on the dash if I hit the brakes a few times in quick succession. Didnt bother me as as long as you left it a second between pushes it kept vacuum and in normal driving you wouldn't be pumping the brakes 2 or 3 times a second anyway.

Chucky how do you find the clarity of the screen mounted like that during the daytime? Is there much glare?

I was going to mount mine the same way but thought it would be clearer on a bracket directed towards the driver..

Cheap way is to buy a HP e-vectra (they run on 12v) and then grab yourself a touchscreen. Im running the same setup. A HP e-vectra, hooked up to a 10.4in touchscreen. Although the e-vectra only has 2 usb ports, so I have used a 7 port usb hub to plug in any extra bits I need. ie, cable for ...

When I put 33's on my 2.8D Hilux with AM Turbo I got an extra 80km out of a tank consistently. I did loose power on take off etc but the lower RPM at highway cruising offset this I think as most of my driving was as 100km/h.

Depends on how you drive I think...

how to tell if you have a bent front axle?

The front tyres on the 80 Series are looking like this |-----\ from the front so I am wondering wether its just the wheel bearings or might be a bent axle as I did get it airborne a few weeks back.

Is there an easy way to find out?
