I reckon (know!) a 350 chev would haul ass.... but heavy. commo v6 would be sweet but wiring etc makes it unviable in my opinion if you cant DIY. maybe a smaller carbed v8, like a ford 302 or holden 253/308, thse are still quite heavy. i have a rover in mine (carbed), its light, its only 3.5 litre a...

well, have put this on the back burner for a while, latley been making an exhaust system up..... anyway... a 600 vac.sec. holley is really 2X 300cfm carbs in one. the motor will run fine on the primarys, and if it develops enough vacume (which it enevidbly will) it will pull the secondrys open creat...

And that really constitutes conclusive proof. (A) you are talking about a different vehicle, (B) a different type of wheelspacer, (C) 3 months is not very long, and (D) where do you mention doing a trip to the cape, fully laden over corrugated roads and washouts??? [/quote] If you read my statement ...

like simo63 said, later rovers (ie Range rover, rover motors) have lower compression about 8.0:1 i think, and the older (as in 70s car) have higher compression about 10:1. if you are looking at the older motor i think you may have problems, but if its a later model, you may be in the ballpark???
