Hey all, I'm looking at purchasing a wrecked 05 GU ute and swapping all the running gear over into my 89 SWB mav. My Mav is a TB42 dual fuel and the ute is TD42 intercooled turbo diesel. Is it pretty straight forward, swapping the whole driveline, front diff and steering box over? Does the front ...

yeah and pete (GQHOON) just took his tb42 turboed, motor out and put that 4.8 in. give it time, i wouldn't be surprised if the turbo work is getting done at the moment. it'll be a similar setup to andrews 4.8.

sandy bowman runs a turbo diesel. he was in the red shorty with the red windows.

i have used the boc 250 with remote head. i found it to be a great welder, never had a feed issue with the remote.

What about the migtronic? they have infinite voltage and wire speed adjustment. as in no steps just a dial you turn so you can get finer adjustments for welding al and the like.

i did think of that, so i took as much grease out as i cold. still no better. it shouldn't be bent because the winch ran fine after the bog hole, it was just after sitting there for a while the grease kinda turned into mud. ill keep trying i suppose.

they work out roughly about half price, however you have to do a bit of the work yourself.

roll cage, body or chassis?

ok, i have to settle a dispute with my boss.
do internal roll cages bolt to the floor of the body or go through to the chassis??

all the cages i have seen have a plate bolted to the body. i assume there is one under the floor effectively sandwiching it.

cheers
