Bogged, I don't think the 6.6L Duramax will fit the GU without some serious Firewall & Radiator Support Panel Work. I had a guy try to sell me one that he had imported to fit to a GU and it was 4-5" too long for the Bay ( I'd be happy to take some measurments if you wish ). It would be a great ...

Engine Lift

Buger, I have a mate with a "90" SR5 Hilux who did an Engine / Transmission lift after doing a 2" Body Lift. He was specifically trying to gain extra clearance under the Transmission/Transfer Case as the Hilux has a very low "Pressed Steel" Transmission Cross Member. He made up a Crossmember out of ...

TD42T W/S Manual on CD

I purchased one of the Part Manual on CD-ROM off of E-bay for about $8.00 and I think it was the best $8.00 I have ever spent. While the VIN Decoding section does not work as it is a European Copy there is still a heap of information on it relating to our Trucks. All pages can be printed off to ...

GU Ignition Problems

Hi all, This is my Virgin Topic so be Gentle. I have a "00" GU 4.2D and am having intermittent Ignition Problems. It only seems to play up after I have washed the Engine Bay ( Low Pressure only ). I have full Dash Lights, however the Engine will not Crank when the Key is turned. I think the magnetic ...
