Re: racing seats
Ive had some similar - not sure if were the Jaz ones, but a similar extruded plastic one with slip on padded cover.
In my experience they are as uncomfortably as all hell and do give great bruises and a sore tail bone when you roll heavily.

Here's a few tips for any one that is purchasing steel to build a roll cage and wants to compete, or thinks that one day you might.

Re: New cage/bar work rules
The reason I ask is because my mate used 3.2 wall 1 3/4 Seam tube and I used 2.6 wall seamless but his tube is around 1.5mm smaller OD
He has a full exo but by the sounds of it he might have to remake all the barwork.
I suppose if you are looking at that stuff all the time you could tell.

Hi 84sloth,
we don't have any in stock at the moment but can supply both the Interco M16 (as Evan mentioned) and also the Interco Radial MT in 37" to suit 16" rims, both are radials and will have good road manners - feel free to drop me a line or email if you want any more info.
Cheers,
Tazz

Re: HOT TD42
Good to hear they are shooting you out a new one - that is good service. Hopefully you get more than 5mths out of this one hey :-)
Re: HOT TD42
I think the problem there could be "chinese radiator" not that it's alloy.
My dad was having the typical TD42 warmth problems in his GU wagon - particually when towing. 18 months ago we dropped a PWR alloy radiator in as he was just about to head of travelling.
They have one done 50,000ks since ...

Re: Towing capacity up grade
Not quite true - well not in NSW any way. Some engineers will upgrade towing capacity. I know of a couple that have had them upgraded, one being a 60series with ute cut, 350chev, coil conversion on 80 series diffs and 37' wranglers.

I could be wrong but if you do i'm thinking this will be a major air flow restriction point so not sure how much gain you'd see in performance with either style of snorkel?

Have had experience with Procomps and i think they are just too soft and getting rid of them will definitely help. I would'nt suggest Rancho's are any better as i've had them too.

Re: Best work horse/tow ute
I've got a D40 Navara diesel and it tows 2 to 3 tonne regularly and has done so for nearly 4 years now. Mines an auto and it's much better for towing - the auto does a great job of masking the fact the motor's have no low down torque.

From what i've heard from a number of sources virtually every car being engineered at the moment is being hauled in by the rta.
Doesnt matter if its 4x4, street car, hot rod or who's engineered it they are nearly all getting pulled in and gone over with a fine tooth comb.
