what is fretting?

Will end up being 4k for both diffs with lockers. The diff conversion is way more. for 2 good diffs 1.5k-2k, 2k for lockers, 1k fab work cost, 1k for 2 custom drive shafts (still vibration prob, even with landcruiser rear), 1k for engineering+mod plate, plus time wasted getting all this sorted when ...

I would stick with the rover diffs. Axles are cheap and easy to get these days. No hassles with engineering and mod plates. Been there before with fitting Patrol front and and 80 series rear. A DC rear shaft should fix that.

Yep some tool told me that aswell.. spent 750 bucks on a custom DC shaft..if anything it made it worse

Just fitted the flexi flares from UK.. was about 500 bucks landed. They look brilliant and are unbreakable.

Main reason was to replace my custom made fibreglass ones which were all cracked and broken.

Why would you want to go fibreglass?

Put bilstiens on a P38 HSE and on softest setting they are still too rough. Never fitting them again!! absolute crap for a P38..
