well i did the front calipers ,pistons were dirty and replaced master cyl brakes were still spongy,so i ajusted the proport. valve rod and that fixed it got good brakes at long last . thanks to all who replied

80 series brakes spongy

i have a 2 in lift a while ago i replaced the front and rear brake hoses .after doing so the pedal has been spongy ive bled all the lines numerous times but to no avail could it be the porp.valve and do you have to ajust the rod from the diff housing to the valve after you lift it.

i got 1hz 80 ser natural aspriated done 300 tho i got a tap or rattel noise that comes in about 2000 and disapears 2500 i first thort it was a big end noise as coming from bottom rear of sump.i put a screwdriver to bottom of sump and to my ear to me it sounded as if it was coming from the clutch ...

a mate of mine has got a paj it has rear diff locks this helps it out but it lacks travel in the front but that s the joy of ifs either one are capable .personal choise

4in longer didnt seem to make any differance if it did a slight spongey brake is better than no brakes

yep worth checking..also check the hoses from housing to brake caliper. check for bulgers

with the 4in extention havent noticed any spongy brakes..just thankful they work now. lucky i wasnt in heavy trafic when the line blew. all good now. just thort it was worth mentioning to check it out. also check the hoses from housing to caliper

i didnt use disconectors i removed them . made a big difference to articulation your only limited by your shockies . down side you get body roll when loaded and going arround corners . its only a 20 min job to remove them

i got an 80 series when you put your foot down and get into it lots of black smoke comes out its done 280k is this injectors i dont think its rings as it doesent use any oil from change to change .will a biger exhaust help or is this the norm
