Calamvale on sth side of bris had 83mm overnight. storm cell hit at about 12.30am. But this is isolated to Brisbane.

king pin bearings/shims! and perhaps wheel bearings. Pull a shim from the top of the king pins then retighten go fo a drive and see if it makes a difference. It wont completely remove the shakes but you should be able to tell a difference. If it does, then do a full swivel housing rebuild. Easy ...

Whats the easiest way to tell if I have the 1.6 head or 1.3 head? I believed I had the 1.3 head. Should I pull the rocker cover off? what will I be looking for?

Yes correct... the problem was it was all gummed up. needed a clean and the ratchet worked fine then. Also the return spring was missing. It looks like this.

Got the low down on it today from Graham at Suzi-Auto at springwood Qld.
Its a G16B block, 1.3 head and 1.3 Carb, good combo apparently. The carb I am holding is a VIT one, no good for me so it will find its way up for sale soon.

got new shoes this arvo, cleaned it all up and fitted em. But the old shoes were about 50% so that was not the prob. Thanks mate... mine are siezed. So if Im right they are to move freely? So looks like I need to pull em all apart! My foot brakes are working, just not he handbrake.
