Okay so here's the thing, recently a squeak has started coming from what sounds like the right hand drivers side vent, I know some people say the rattle and squeaks are factory standard with GQ's but I've owned the car 12 years and it has its rattles and squeaks but this is something else, it's load ...

Did you get your problem sorted out Sim, I have the same grinding noise with my shorty, so I'm interested to see how you fixed it or do you still have the problem.

63 views and no one has a opinion on GQ springs "strange" you would think in a 4x4 Nissan forum someone would know something about springs.

Hi all, I would like to know what people would rate as the best 4" spring for a GQ Shorty? I've had a couple of different types TJM and dobinsons, but was curious what other people's opinions are.

auto choke will be the problem. it only a mater of removing the air cleaner and loosening the choke heater screws to adjust it. you'll need to put a little more tension on the choke.

Yeah, tried warm up for 10 to 15 and then drive for 10 (putting up with the coughing and splattering) and then she's all good.

Since the cold weather has hit us in Melbourne my GQ has been running like a pig, only happens in the morning when the car is cold, it coughs, splutters bunny hops a little for about 10 min until it's warm, after that it's good all day. if it is the front diff and not the back, surely then this wont be it as i imagine you have your hubs unlocked on the road and 4wd not engaged. So the front diff shouldnt be turning. so no probs from the diff.

I"m thinking wheel bearings.

A couple of months ago I had the 4.1 diff gearing change to 4.6, and ever since, when I get up over 60 I get a dull scraping, grinding kinda noise, not all the time, mainly when I back off the accelarator or just coasting down a hill. Its hard to pick where the noise is coming from, sometimes sounds ...

Would like to know if anyone has used one of these and if they are worth the money.

i'm guessing there's no harm in removing the bolt completely if i'm getting rid of the very back rear seats

If your removing the seat belts then just replace the bolt with a shorter one just to fill the hole

my passenger side guard lip is rusted. So my body man said he'd remove it completely ...

I run 35x12.5 Mickey Thompson Radial Claws and all I had to do to stop the rubbing was,

first was a 2" body lift

I got my GME TX 4400 brand new for $200 "CHEAP" and mounted it under the CD player, fits in there perfect
