If the 47 series ash tray is sinilar to the 45 series ..... You should be abled to reach around the back of the dash and put your hand in the top ....
May need to move some air ducting if it has AirCon ?

Tiny my 6.5 diesel was fitted with a single 3 inch air intake manifold "top hat" running about 500mm of 3 inch hose to a Donaldson air cleaner. i didnt notice anything wrong with it performance wise. to fix the problem with the pump being used when not needed, why not put on a aircon magnetic clutch spool? Switch it on when u need it, when u dont turn it off and let the hub freewheel. Hydro assist aparantly can be had legally. But I have also been told that you get bugger all feel in the steering and it can be slow to react ie shit loads of turning power but at a set speed. IF you get a high performance pump you will have enough flow to compensate for the extra volume required ...

why would you want to remove it?? if you were to blow a hose on the highway you would just loose oil (still mechanically connected ) it could be easily done BUT you could end up with issues bleeding your system every time you re install it. just paint the ram matt black so its not so obvious then ...

no ...... sorry it was a 6 inch diameter steel "blast" chamber reduced down to 2 inch steel barrel ..... powered by oxy / acetelyene .... the ally rod was going to be a mates body lift blocks but we decided it wasnt a large enough diameter for that , so we thought it would be perfect as projectiles ...
