GQ with a V8 -Exhaust Advice- clearance issues

I've got a shorty gq with a 350 block. The R/H pipe just after the extractors has clearance issues due to the drive shaft, starter motor, diff pumpkin etc.... Can anyone with a similar setup advise me on how they have plumbed the r/h side?... either squeezed in or under the sump to join the other ...

I've got a 2" Speco water temp guage in my Zook. Has been in there prob about 2 years. Has been submerged in mud, and I hose the car out after wheeling, normally you have to wipe the dust off to read it, treated like rubbish but it still works and I couldn't be happier. Luck of the draw I guess ...

I wasn't being a smart arse actually. I was wondering if your car already had a tacho because I thought all GQs did have one. Then if it does have a tacho, I was wondering why you want to blow $200 on another one. I admit a 4-foot tacho would be pretty impressive but still... it's $200. Sorry ...

Speco Gauges- Any Good?

Chaps, I'm looking at a 4' Tacho for my GQ. I found a Speco4' at Autobarn for $199.

Can anyone rate them for me?

For the rest of the gauges i'm going Autometer but they don't make a 4' tacho hence me looking elsewhere....

Any advice would be good :)

Bogged gave you a good link re heat resistent plugs boots etc and honestly go that way as HPC coating will do squat and be a waste of dollars if your leads are that close. Just works better and it seems far better for longativity and you don`t have that prob of crap getting in it on a fourby. There are different types for different heat too. Let me know if you have trouble finding a sight on it and I`ll see where my mate got his done. yeah, that sounds great. I'm ...

I reckon slightly smaller pipe and you'd make more torque.

Mine has twin 2.5's with hotdogs on the end.... I don't know what extractors they are. There's a flatspot where the torque drops off before the power peaks... both are at around 370hp at the wheels at the moment.... needs to hold the torque more....

yip..... sort the castor for sure. GQs are a death trap with incorrect castor.

Dropped radius arms, correction plates or drop boxes are the choices.

I'm a fan of dropped radius arms.... I'm sure a million opinions will follow.

Good luck with it mate.
