I spent awhile searching the net to try and find a suitable regulator that would be variable and have some sort of boost pick-up so that the amount of gas flow was increased with the amount of boost produced. (sort of load sensing)

However I have failed to come up with anything that will seem ...

Yes an exhaust gas temp probe.....or a pyrometer....Jaycar sell a kit for 70 bux that not only comes with the probe, but switches at a adjustable setpoint so u can hook up an alarm or sprays for intercooler etctec.
Otherwise its too autometer for an expensive but good gauge.
