i'm just about sold on the haltec E6GMX ecu. Tuning won't be a prob as one of my mates is right into that.
Basically i buy the 5lt regardless of being auto or manual or vs/vr or vp/vn then plug in the haultec and everything should work with a bit of fine tuning to the standard "map" (engine will ...

Aftermarket Computer to run 5lt conversion
Hi all
I've been trying to find information on theis subject but it seems to be scarce. I'm going to be undertaking the conversion soon (into a MAV SWB) but can't decide which way to go.

how well do the holly 4wd carbies work? the holley on the 305 i have now is hopeless even after a 4wd kit has been installed in it.
cheers steve

I'm having issues with front with the front diff pinion hitting the starter motor (305 Chev) on full travel up.
I've been on the phone to a guy from marks 4wd adapters and cutting a long story short. A injected holden (304) will bolt in with new engine mounts and he thinks, starter ...

Sounds like a common problem, i've had the left come loose at least 8 times now. I've been told by one old timer that it can have something to do with after market bearing kits. The bearings have a chamfer different to the originals. Don't know how true this is though. I just tightened the hell out ...
