just made my own 2 3/4 exhaust with no muffler (exhaust shop can't do it apparently!!!!). gets bit loud when getting into it but other than that no real differnce and nice turbo whistle

99 LWB 2.8td pajero. i am losin coolant somewhere but dont know where. Change oil it seems fine, no viasble leaks or marks (ie. on the ground after driving), stills runs fine and rev cleanly all the way through

Any Ideas would be great

Not 4wd, in my boat
when i put ignition on fuel gauge jumps staright to full (?as far foward as possible) and will even stay there when ignition switched off until i tap the gauge.
IS the gauge dead? sender dead? power probs? any help is great as im now lost to find answer.

it took me bout a day 1/2 all up and never attemped nething like that before. The hardest part i found was lining up the axles to put back into the diff, but that only took bout 10mins tops. the whole area (swivle hubs through the freewhelling hubs) are greese dependant so pack it in and dont hold ...

havnt had a good chance to look at it but i know from memory that there are 3 wires from the injector pump and two are the fuel shut off thingy, so maybe the third wire goes to the tacho...will look this arv

thought it was a generic thing!.....oh well
2.8 L series deisel i think 1990.
It works fine some times but seems to drop out until u hit a bump or something then it will work again..progressively gettin worse

brake problems

84 hilux...disc front shoe rear....I keep losing my hard pedal so i bleed them get air out and its good for a month or so but it gradually gets worse again. i am not losing any fluid and can see no clear signs on any sort of leakage....
im stuck any help??

i just went to a local hose fitting place and got one from there..unscrewed my old one from the diff and they matched it the thread to wateva top i wanted.and much cheaper than ebay..i think i paid $7 all up for everything (fittings hose breathers) both diffs

its an 84 hilux.....2.8td.. I havnt done much towin yet just mainly with the bost to the boat ramp. I am planning trips to fraser and cape york with camper trailer and wondering how everything would hold up.. i would suppose if anyone towed in 4th you wouldnt sit on hundred kms..Has anyone done this ...

i had a similar probs...got accidently fixed with the deisel shop re-did my o-rings in the injector pump, tuned after by them and the made it richer, run bettter, cooler and faster!!!

long and short....is your fuel/air ratio right???

i brought the 3L (2.8) with the ct 20 turbo already on it.....It runs great with bout 12psi in it...but unless you really know wat u r doin with fuel i reckon get it done professionally.....i thought mine was great till i took it in to them...made it richer - gos faster - runs cooler....
