As above, you will need 16 inch rims, but I have 285/75 tyres on with no scrubbing with no lift.

Re: 79 ute advice

Why to you say that the HDJ doesn't like towing heavy loads.
I have a HDJ79 and with mods have upped the power to factory HDJ100 levels and it tows more that it is legally rated to with no issues whatsoever.
This is on 33's, but I have been told that 35's knock things around a bit, but no first hand ...

PTO drive unit

Evening all;
Does anyone know where I can source a 10 bolt PTO drive to suit the H151F gearbox, which went with the 1HD-FTE Cruiser motor?
I have tried Advanced Trailer Spares in Brisbane, who used make these winches, however since the new V8's came out with no facility for a PTO drive they have ...

I have pulled the instrument cluster out and also the display unit in the centre and there ...

No engine lights, nothing changes apart from the stereo gets a bit softer, as in less volume, nothing else.
Any idea what the speedo sender would look like?
Thanks

Non 4by speedo sensor

2001 Holden Astra;
Electronic speedo is working intermitantly, it always works first up but then after approx 10-20 km stops working. Is getting slowly worse, it used to flick on and off, now once it stops it stops until it isn't used for several hours.
I am thinking that it has to be a sensor, most ...

UHF volume

Hey guys;
I've got an old GME TX472S UHF, one with the front mount speaker.
It appears to work fine except that it doesn't appear to have much volume, the volume knob works fine, in that it get louder and softer, it's just that loud isn't very loud, especially when mounted in a 60 series Cruiser.

Can anyone tell me what the factory boost is the 1HD-FTE motor in the Cruiser Ute (non intercooled).
I am wanting to fit a boost gauge and while I think it will be below 15 psi, I don't want to go and buy the 15psi gauge and have it read of the dial.

I have a 79 series Cruiser Ute with the Turbo Diesel motor (1HD-FTE).
I am going to upgrade the exhaust to a 3-inch mandrel bend.
Two of the shops can supply with a 3½-inch dump pipe and the others only have a 3-inch dump pipe.
However, the 3½ costs about 2-300 bucks more.

The 78 and 79 series cruisers also came with a H151F gearbox, this is with the 1HZ motor.
The 78 and 79 series with the 1HD-FTE and 1FZ-FE motor both had the H150F gearbox.
All 78 and 79 series are part time 4x4.
