going down the freeway the other day,gearbox developed a whine in 5 gear. checked the oil , one liter in the gearbox,was not empressed cars only done 160ks,toped it up and whine got a little better but still noisey,anyway checked the oil in the diffs and the tranfer,2 and one half liters of oil came ...

input shaft is the end that goes into the tranfer case, that is conected to the tailshaft. what i did was take the tailshaft of ,mark the diff and the tailshaft the position it is in [make sure the rear of the car is lifted so you dont loose oil out of the tranfer case]check uni joints for play or ...

try rotating the tailshaft in different spots conecting to the diff,did this on mine ,nl 3.5 ,fixed the problem,mine had a bit of play were the input shaft went into the tranfer case to.

how fast do these nissans go took it up to 130ks didnt have much left the dyno says 99 kw at the weels these motors are suppost to have 114 kw at the flyweel and 360 nm dyno says 99 at weels and the nm are the same as stock it it me or this does not ad up

put my truck in for a tune, looking for some more grunt they say its good for a standard 4.2td ,is there much more power in standard form without the risk of blowing it up 99kw [135hp]/3120 rpm and362nm /390 rpm , at 110 kilometers 82 kw ,2990 rpm ,8.6 boost tyre size 265-70-16 doe not state egt

flushed it out on the weekend via the heater hoses but didnt do the blockgave it a good flush but i have a funny feeling ther wa still green stuff in the block does it matter that much a bit of old coolant they say it is not good ,what do u guys think

yes it has an external trans cooler but im told there hooked up with the engine radator as well do u think putting a cooler thermistat in the motor would help much as well

pretty happy at the moment, it stopped slipping must have been the flush and new filter was not looking to putting out 4 grand for a recon,by the way is ther a ajustment for the bands on this box or am i getting another tall story from a mechanic anyway thank u for the help i have learned a little ...

heres one for ya, put the trailer on does not slip take it of and slips and shudders[only a little bit but noticeable]ran a diagnostic code test on it useing temp light as indicator seemed to be alright light flashed evenly so is there anythingin the drive line that would do this on these pajeros :roll: :roll:
