I need to buy/make something like this, mines been sitting on the back burner for a few months.

That would be useful, i have the manual in pdf form and have read it a few times but can't remember it showing of the the transfer case gear cogs at all.

Few results: Need some more help/tips.


BTW Joe hooking up the VSS wire to the crank angle sensor wire (with or without power applied to the vss wire) had no effect.


Ok so when i was trying it before, even with both looms (sierra and jimny from the engine drivers side back in through the window ...

Well thats not really what i wanted to hear But thanks for the angle sensor suggestion will give that a go.

Hello All, I have a 2002 auto M13A 99% into a suzuki sierra and have come accross a problem and was wondering if any of you fine people could help me out :)

Trying to drive it forwards currently is as if you are feathering the clutch in a manual, it wont drive up the smallest incline in high range ...

I like mine, was about 4 red zooks with lights on the roof when phil stil had his haha.

Don't know if u are convinced yet or not but i got 4.16 low reduction gears and the offroad performance is awesome. Followed by lockers at the same time. Now u have to actually try and get stuck. HUGE difference.

WHat was with that savage oil leak i saw it with at the rally thing, u might want to fix that as well lol.

I guess not being a retread makes them a bit smoother. The solid line down the middle is different though...

Mine had its rebuild at 300K.. took it to a mechanic.. 335K now and going really good.

I got the 4.1s after having 31 mongrels for a year on and offroad.. it makes it easier on the clutch onroad and offroad my clutch doesnt smell anymore trying to spin the tyres and stuff.

The onroad driving is back to a more standard gearing so the engine works better and offroad the low ratios are ...

Sounds groovy... is there a wooden spoon? will most likley be needing that one lol i should be there!

When u turn on the AC it dropping is normal.. it will probably also drop when u turn on the high beam, radio and other stuff.


Couldnt u also adjust the idle rpm to a good setting ?

Find a new chassis at a wreckers and transfer the whole lot over.. ?

I just put rockmonster 4.16 in mine 2 days ago from abt4x4.. havent used it much but i can acctually drive slow now.. (i am driving up banks all around the place with ease that i woudlnt even attempt before!)

Shoudl be good on some tracks too!

And yes they shoudd save my clutch to lol.. it use to ...

Na saving up for those lockers will take me another few months lol.

I have mongrels that i drive on all the time atm and we do have to tighen them probably once a month cause the bigger tyres make them to loosen quickly. So u might be doing something wrong, 3 motnhs on road tyres is to fast...

Well that gearing wasnt on the abt4x4 site when i checked 2 days ago im sure, so im prolly going to get something like that off them.

I don't bother leting mine down offroad just 25-30 al the time.

I guess im not driving on rock though, just mud and keeping them fuller gives u slighty more axle height and no bead leaks..

What sort of terrain do u want to use them on?

Were trying to get into the centre at the moment.. once thats al open the rest should be easy enough.

Ok we have got a rattle gun.. so ill see if oxy + rattle gun will work.

Also cant i just replace the bearing and seal, and cant u buy these new?

So whats the best way of getting the centre out?



Our parts car is like an old sj50?? (erlier body type) was free... does that same secton on the dif ...

My seals on both difs are leaking, the ones where each tail shaft joins on that area leaks and that bit of shaft area wobbles a bit, so there is a seal in there right?, so i need to figure out how to undo that area to get at the inside, i got my dad onto it to try and undo it but it wouldnt budge ...
