hi john,
mount is the same throughout but the later models had the plastic end caps. either is fine but the 2 door one is stronger. strong is good!! especially if you do dumb things like i did

need a tail light lens for a 87 rr & a bumper

:oops: hi all.. due to a moment of stupidity i now need a rear left side tail light lens & side lens for a 87 rangie & a rear bumper for either a 2door or 4door rangie. if you have any of these bits let me know how much & where you are & i'll get sorted!

just in case you haven't already checked..the front bushes on the rear trailing arms were worn badly on mine even though they looked ok from the outside & as a result the diff was swinging under load. replaced the bushes & had the tyres rebalanced (then replaced ..different story!) and the shudders ...

if you're keen try the crane fireball 500 system.
i run a 1980 2 door and since the fireball went in timing has had no probs other than re bushing the dizzy. approx cost $350.00. repco, auto barn etc. ;)
