As it turns out the pulley is ok and the belt tensioner is the problem. Thx for your help

Just took the vechile to nissan and they say it's the belt tensioner. $395 they want to replace it. Does any one know if this is a job you could do yourself? $290 for the part itself

I have a strange noise coming from the front of motor, I'm thinking it's one of the pulley's. Now i changed the fan belt today and noise is still there. I had a noise last year from the front also which was just the belt sqeuking on start up ,sprayed CRC on pulleys and fine after driving ...

It's for a gu , resides on the central coast. Last time it was done was at 40k, now on 91k, i have a 5 week trip coming up next week traveling along the coast to adelaide then home the back way. How long do people live it to do?? Do they really need doing every 40k.I don't know if im being paranoid ...

can you get the 3ltdi 2002 workshop manual on cd?? if anyone has it , would they donate a copy and then i'll do the same to whoever else may need one...... Please.
