Re: 80 series front mount sizes??

I have a 500 x 300 x 76mm PWR tube and fin core, with 2.5" inlet/outlet. Fits nicely behind the grill, with just a little shaving of the plastic.

Re: 1hd-fte power question

On my '06 100 series FTE and auto, with 3.5" dump/3" exhaust, PWR front mount with 2.5" piping, it runs 13.5-14.5 psi, nowhere near 16.5psi, which is when the engine check light should come on. I have personally hooked up a boost gauge to a factory 05 100 with auto, and never saw anything over 12psi ...

Re: 1HD-FTE question

BEB's not a problem in the FTE motor, was fixed a loooong time before these were released. Injector lines and timing belt are must do's @ 150,000km , but if you are doing these i would also consider the injectors themselves, especially if you dont know the history of the donor vehicle. Only other ...

Re: 1VD-FTV TT in an 80 series

Apart from the wiring headaches , although they may not be impossible, if you are using the 6 speed auto and transfer from the 200, the front output shaft on the transfer is on the left, not the right, like every other cruiser ever built. So flipping the front diff will come in to play. The rear ...

1HDFTE 100 series (5 speed auto if you can)
- will tow your boat or house with no fuss, add chip, exhaust, mucho better
- ALOT more exxy than the V8 , and for good reason
- change oil/filters from 5000-10000km, depending on the driving your doing
- change timing belt/injector lines every 150000km ...

Re: 1GGTE 4RUNNER help

Still using the factory ECU ?? If so, you will be using the factory air flow meter (between the air box and the air inlet "T" piece that feeds into the turbo's). These are a PITA, and cause these types of symptoms when stuffed. If its a Gen 1 1ggte, thens its at least 24-25 years old. Is yours water ...

That sounds about right. My FTE towing 1300kg, total of about 4500kg, reads similar to yours, but it is intercooled. Headwind, fully loaded and towing @ 110km/h sits on about 380-420deg C, in 40 deg C ambient temp

Re: New tow vehicle required.....

OK, for your budget you can get a V8 100 series with 5 speed auto (brilliant, tough gearbox), with a few KM's on it (dont be put off by this!). it will tow the tinny with minimal fuss. will be heavy on the juice, but at 10Kkm/year who gives a fark??

How is the old 28 goin??

100 series TD with 5 sp. auto, hands down.
Just put one of these combos into my 80 series, farkin' winnah combination!

Although with your budget, the 1FZFE 105 series is probably the best option (with an off the shelf turbo kit)...............

If using the A750 5 speed auto, the 100 series rear tailshaft bolts into the 80 series no worries, but you will either have to get the 100 series/80 series front shaft extended. While your at it, piss the EGR and glow screen off. The FTE/5 sp. auto has it all over any other versions of 1H series, it ...
