As Dale had asked, do you still have your sway bar installed? 3" lift and it does sway all over the place. Bushes are good. Sway bars are still on. As mentioned before, its like a flat bottomed boat. Hmm...........is that a hint to remove the sway bars? :) Sorry, brain fart when i asked that ...

Installing dual shocks is not an easy job. There's also added cost when it comes for shock replacement. I am not in any races or competition.

So whats a good large bore shock to use? Adjustable or not?

I am recommended Bilstien, but dunno where to get.

I know of another bundy with same set up as mine and had the same characteristics. They installed all round dual shocks and transformed the vehicle.
I need to drive the vehicle myself.

The body seems to sway all over the place and its very soft.

All bushings renewed and shocks are big bore. Springs are 80's.

Bundy suspension is like a flat bottomed boat on the open sea. Already have stiff springs and large shocks. Dual shocks would probably solve the problem.

I fitted the Ct28 turbo on and set the boost for 13psi. Sometimes goes to 16psi but not above. Ct28 trubo has improved performance a little at low end.
I doubt I can fit an intercooler under the bonnet and will have to got for a front mount.

Interesting sites and full of info, thanks. Yesterday me and the mate tracked down a 1KZ-T, in the wreckers. I believe these are only imported and dunno if they were ever sold here. Thing is, if he want the fuel pump have to buy the whole dam engine!. I think this is going to knock the idea on it ...

My mate reckons I can easily run 20psi boost if I mod the engine a little.

Is a safari turbo worth going for?

Improving performance of a 13B-T

I am contemplating upgrading my 13B-T to give her a little more woomph. Right now its pretty stock standard as from the factory. Here's a list of mods I want to do, so any comments most welcome: 1. Change out factory C26 turbo for a C28 unit. 2. Add an intercooler, I think front mount would be best ...

Thats what I mean. I would just bore out the cylinders to the max size possible and use 3l or even 5l pistons.

So can this be done or is there some other avenues I would have to change. For me just use bigger pistons and leave the rest alone.

Go for air locker, either on or off!!

There's always the toyota factory electric locker, mainly found on 80 and 100 series. You'd have to change the whole axle.

Bore out block of 2L-T to become 5L-T????

I had a crazy idea last night. Rather than buy a whole new engine I may as well trash my existing engine and mod it a little. We all know about the 2L, 3L and 5L engines. Whats the largest capacity I could bore out my 2L-T engine to? Presently its 2446cc, but would really like to goto 3000cc. Wow ...
