Yeah, noise is not effected by speed variation, it's the same sound throughout.

What's weird, is it only starts about 15-20mins into my drive (viscosity ?), and I notice it more as I'm slowing down whether it's in gear or neutral. Mechanic want's to charge me $2k for second-hand gear-box including ...

So my rig is well looked after 2000 TJ wrangler with around 240,000 clicks on it.

Started to make this noise about 4 months ago.

- Only start to hear it after about 15-20 mins of driving
- Occurs whether she's is in gear or neutral (5spd manual gearbox) and at all speeds.

Okay, after an extremely muddy trip offroad, Ive given the jeep a bit of a clean (still needs attention), ive encountered an annoying squeaky sound from my front drive shaft.

Weird thing is, it didnt start making the sound until after i cleaned under the rig.

Let me know if this is doable and roughly how much cost wise:

- Set of 31" muddies (perhaps even second handies)
- Coil spacers (2 inch) - To fit the tyres
- Some steelies to fit the tyres to (Unless they'll fit on the stock rims)

BJMASE: I went with the USA4x4 options and got a heavy duty zip. Have never looked back since.. its great and will do the job nicely till i get myself some sliders.
