Re: Custom Airbox

Thanks for the reply mate.

I ended up getting a water catch tank off a petrol hiux. It might have been a 22r engine? The factory airbox has a small circular box on the bottom to catch water. It has a rubber grommet that when the car is running and sucking air is sealed shut. So when the engine is ...

Hey all,

I am going to knock up a custom airbox for my ute. Going custom because of space issues. It will be a box to fit the space I have, with a 4inch inlet and outlet and a pod filter inside. I will just use a perspex lid. It will be fed by a stainless snorkel with no snorkel head and the ...

Hey everyone,

Currently putting a 304 v8 into a hilux. I remember seeing an add on ebay or gumtree a while ago from a bloke who can retune or map standard holden computers with a better tune and change from auto to manual etc for a couple of hundred bucks.

I cant find the add anywhere now, so was ...

Hey all,

Currently building up a v8 hilux. I have a single cab ln106 with no doors.

I have been searching around for doors which seem to be few and far between. And what I do find is ridiculously priced. I cant seem to get a proper answer on what doors fit what hilux.

Will single dual cab front ...

Hilux 253 and QLD rego issues

Hey all,

I have recently bought a 1994 4wd single cab lux. It was originally a 22r but the previous owner has had a 253 put in and a gas setup as well as petrol. The conversion was mod plated but the rego left as a four cylinder.

I bought it without rwc and fixed up a few small things with the ...

A reco engine should be no different to brand new.

:)

No way mate. Reco's are done to a fixed price. So this means whoever is doing the reco is using as much of the original engine as possible to save costs.

Cams, valves, springs etc etc are checked for tollerance and if in spec are re-used ...

Re: Ute tipper - how hard and how much.

Depending on how much you would use the tipper you could knock up a cheapo version yourself.

It's pretty easy to chuck a big hinging setup to the ass end of the tray. If you have a roll bar you could mount a cheap winch down below the front of the tray. Run the cable up to a rollbar over a small ...
