go auto or Type- R then which is chain driven off the crank- you even get a one-one pulling ratio then too.

It's also the fastest winch i have EVER seen- at 12,000lb max pull it pulls twice as quickly as an 8274 with no load! (or something stupid like that!)

thanks for the reply.

FYi i'm in the UK so everything LSx related is expensive here :(

it's more a problem with CATs. Over here we have to pass something called SVA whcih is a pretty in-depth test- my car will require CATs if it has an LSx but i really don't think CATs and off roading will mix ...

Hey Guys,

here in the UK, finding generalised info regarding Chevy LS1 motors is pretty difficult.

I am considering buying a s/hand motor from the US from a camaro SS- stock it has about 335bhp and comes with an autobox.

are these motors suitable for 4wd use? are their oil starvation issues ...
