i dun have a jtop anymore so no good to me.
from memory u can bolt them in if u cut your plastic trims. might need to jam some captive bolts in there if they didnt have them from factory..

bought this car a few weeks back to play with.
was ADVERTISED as a 1995 surf, but it wasnt til the next day i noticed it was a 1992 model with a 1995 drivetrain. (i kno wi should have been paying more attn, but i also trusted the seller wouldnt try something so blatent).

or anyone curious, my workshop just changed the transfer case to another unit, it appears to have solved the problem.
There was no signs of fatigue in the old transfer case and the chain didnt look visibly stretched, however there was a little scuff on the outer casing of the xfer, so im guessing ...

I think the biggest problem by lookingat those pics is the wheel offset. Something with a little less offset will be a lot better, especuially when turning.

from ythe above comment i am guessing u mean the sunroof section, not the soft top section?
mine has a similar problem with it not wanting to close due to fouled sunroof mechanism.
i would expect you would need to start with the headlining behind the sunroof, though i havent looked in great detail ...
