so...if i moved the tray back, cut the rear of the cab off, welded up some steel to extend the cab....would i have to get that engineered?
or can you still buy the maruti fibreglass rear sections from somewhere? or reproductions?

well seeing as though all the zooks i keep looking at buying get sold before i get there, i take it as a sign to keep my 89 surf. its a 2nd gen, with a 2LT motor, still mechanical pump. atm its running an exhaust which the previous owner cut down just after the front doors... im finding a great lack...

hey guys, was looking at buying a soft top sierra. my mates got roof racks for his which mount to the top of the windscreen, and to the 2 pillars behind the doors.
do you think this would support the weight of a 27kg kayak?
would it be too close together to be safe once tied down?..

Most I'll probably be doing is beach work. Maybe a trip or 2 to levuka etc. Nothing extreme. As long as it gets me down the highway to Uni. And I can play with it in my spare time. I'm happy :)

Won't be doing anything too crazy in it. Weekend bash here and there. Yeah it's a 1.3. With the different gearing to the wt, will it sit ok on 90-100 on the motorway with larger tyres? The only thing which needs doing on it is replacement of the transfer case rubber mounts. Is that hard to do? Ie; p...

apparently he reckons it just needs to tighten a hose somewhere, thats why he didnt tell me, he said to come back sunday and he'll have it fixed.....doubtful, but we'll see i guess, the motor runs etc...just cant drive it cos of clutch problem...

it has about 215k on it, i was also thinking maybe the master cylinder? clutch throw out fork huh, hmmm, sounds a lot cheaper than a whole new clutch :D

also there was a bit of oil sprayed round the bottom of the motor round the front? is this a concern? i heard its normal for disco's to leak.

hey guys, went to check out a 91 tdi disco this afternoon. guy failed to mention in the ad that the car doesnt drive. now the problem seems to be the clutch. the guy who owns the car has no idea about anything. heres what i could see, the clutch fails to engage at all, theres no pressure whatsoever,...
