Had the problem on a TD42 and found the sender shit its undies!!!!!!!! $50 bucks for a new sender and it sets rock hard at 3/4s. thought about a after market gauge and didn't want to look like like a try hard boy racer with dodgy crap over the dash like some bum sniffers out there!!!!!!!!!!! I have just got an 80 series with a 2 to 3 inch lift and it likes to track all over the road like it is following train tracks. The wheel bearings are good and the king pins don't have play. The tie rods and box seem fine as well. Could this be a caster problem or do i need adjustable panhards or ...

oil pump
A high volume pump can empty the sump and fill the heads, due to poor oil return on holden v8, if they get a load of right foot! Which will cause bearings to fail.
