Mine went on me a few weeks ago. Sounds like you have the same problem. My clutch bearing went and chewed out the housing, but the compressor was fine. Just disconected the drive belt till I got a new one. Found a second hand one on ebay. Pulled the clutch off the old one and bolted the new one on ...

Re: How do you install new inner Axle seals in the front?

I used to use a socket and an extension but it was a PITA. Then i tried BeeBee's way which was fitting the Seal to the outer stub shaft of the CV and placing this backwards into the housing but this was also a hit and miss way. Well today i went to bunnings and found that i could make a seal ...

I run bias claws on my days out bush. They are great off road but getting to the tracks can be a bit dodgy, add rain to that and you really have to concerntrate let alone tram tracks in Melb. The radials would behave alot differently I'ld presume but I'ld probably go the MTRs for a more allround ...

The center of the tyre wears faster on the 7". The theary being that the slimmer rim pulls the edges up so the foot pattern of the tyre is rounded. Might be better off road as with Simons experience, but will wear center faster on road. Go the 8" I reckon.

Had a set of BFG MT for a 3 year trip arround Oz. They were great in alot of very different terrian!!! Never had a puncture where as my travelling partner (runing a couple of brands) destroyed 5 tyres. I was sold on them and when it came to replacing them there was no doubt in my mind they were ...

changing gear box oil

Hi, thought I'ld change the oils in the 80series as I've not had it long and don't know when they were done last. Got to the gear box but when I opened up the FILLER plug, oil started to pour out. Which didn't make sense as it was the filler plug not the drain. Thought there might be water in the ...

I run 34 X`11 JT2s under my STD 80 with no mudflaps with a 2inch spring lift and 30mm coil spacers. Taking that into consideration, I'd say yes. You may need flairs to keep the tyres from protuding to keep it legal though. Good Luck Jonesy Just had a look at your trucks profile, thats a nice set up ...

35 inch tyres under an 80series with 40mm lift.

Hi guys.
Can anyone tell me if 35'x12.5x15 bfg mts will fit under a 80 series with a 40mm lift ? And I heard that 35inch tyres under the 80series might be illegal in Victoria. Can anyone shed any light on these or know where I can find out ?
Thanks.

33'x15 or 75x16' need advice

G'day all. Need some advice. I'm doing up a 80series i've just bought. I've put in a 2' lift and am looking for some rubber. Trying to choose between the 33'x15 or the 75 x16'. Whats the ad/disvantages between the 15' and 16' or thinking about the 35'. These tyres will be used for weekend trips and ...
