One complication you may want to consider with the D2 dash is the climate control. It may be a little hard to integrate. I'm not sure how many external connections it has electronics wise. I'm guessing you may also have problems with other dash cluster functions. The late D1 dash would be easier as ...

Yeah the 14C-7 or 8 seem to big at 9.1" max inflated bellow diameter.
I have charts on these springs and the usable stroke
The 1T26D-7 (W01-D08-9310) does 6.3" to 18" for around 12" of stroke
The 1T14C-7 does 8" to 20" for around 12" as well
The 1T14C-8 seems to do 7" on the bumpstop to 21" for 14 ...

How's everybody going with their air setups?
I'm interested because I'm planing on converting the front of the D2 to air and running a four corner setup.

Bush65 are you still planning on running 1t14 or 1t26?

Yeah the first place I started looking was Airbag man (I haven't contacted them) but found they don't have a front airbag solution on their website.
I also searched a number of other vendors and none have a solution off the shelf. I searched this and other forums and found no information of anyone ...

Is there a post on D2AU about it? If there is I couldn't find it.

Obviously it too hard to do comercially because no one sells suitable kits.
But I have noticed some vendors seem to have coil-over type setups. That makes me wonder ...

Disco 2 Air Suspension on the front

I was wondering and researching but have not found any solution.
Can you modify/fit air suspension (either rangie or some aftermarket kit) to a disco 2 front end? Specifically the airbag, I'm not concerned about the leveling system.

The two in the first pic are breathers.
The other one in the second and third pics is the hisser. I think it goes to the purge canister and i think it iss a suction hiss. Perhaps there is supposed to be a filter on the end cuz it's vacuum

Thanks for the replys people. In the end it turned out to be a breather on the drivers side at the firewall which I traced back under the car to the charcol canister. Now, the breather had fallen onto the exhaust and melted, then it fell down to rest on the chassis and it actually looked like it ran ...

Hence me ...

When I stop my D2 with SLS and get out I can hear a constant hissing sound for two minutes at least. At first I thought it was the SLS but now I think it's something else . On closer inspection I think it's coming from the engine block but it's always too hot too feel around when I get out. I though ...

Picked up the Disco on Friday. ACE is definately awesome. It corners better than a sedan!! Flat as. It's not noisy really. My first diagnosis was right, the idler pully. Also I put the Disco through the mud on the weekend in a little quarry. It went like a dream. With traction control and Hill ...

Yes I was impressed with it's onroad behaviour when I test drove one. And I'm anxious to find out it's offroad advantage. I was concerned about the price of replacing the rams perhaps when they wear out but the disco I'm interested in had 70K klms so it shouldn't be an issue for a while. One thing ...

ACE

I've searched this site and the net for problems with ACE as I'm about to get a 99 Disco with it. As far as I can tell it is reliable, apart from a recall on it, as posted here last year. Late model rangies

I'm considering a late model Rangie, around 1998 but I'm a bit scared of the repair costs on them considering all the reported problems they can have. Does anyone have experience of this at all. I've searched on here for late model and cant seem to find anything regarding repairs.

Will ask the guys who are fitting the Unichip next week if they think the ICV is stuffed.
If the grub screw was adjusted up too high then the ICV cannot control the idle down low enough. It goes out of it's range. Perhaps it was just mal adjustment. If you were to continue to adjust the idle grub ...

Chassis Swap

I'm planning to buy a 92ish surf. The only problem is I thought a solid axel would be a nice idea if I wanted to take it to the extreme. I've seen on here that a few people have done chassis swaps and I thought perhaps using an older, solid axel chassis under the surf would be an easy and legal way ...
