jaycar here in vic sell a flexible 21 led strip light for $30.00 got one for the camper trailer and works a treat, plenty of light, it also comes with a couple of meters of cable and switch.
also bunnings sell 12v led deck lights.

i have got the set up as mentioned above Holden air cleaner modded with exhaust pipe, flexible hose, eureka 3'' snorkel, takes standard holden v8 air filters. can send you some pics if your still interested.

yeah you could do what you described by using a holden/ford housing, couple of gal fittings etc and some rivets but i want mine to look as if it was there from factory and not just stuck on at a later date. but that's just me. each to there own i suppose.

marks adaptors makes a cast alloy air intake hat for the 6.2/6.5 chev that has a 3.5 inch intake dia ( they also supply a rubber hose adaptor to suit 3.5-3inch duct work for the snorkels ). not sure if they do a dual intake but it wouldn't hurt to ask them. if they don't, it wouldn't be to ...

transfer case cross member

g'day guys was able to take a few pic's today of the transfer case mounting bracket and the gearbox rubber that was used with it also.
hopes this helps with the understanding of my earlier post.
not sure as to whom makes them as i removed the 2 i have from wrecks.

chevj40,

you can also get a cross member that is mounted to the back of the transfer via 6 bolts which i have 2 of at hm. all you then do is weld 2 brackets to the chassis which will accept some type of rubber engine/ gearbox mount which ever fits better and bolt the 2 together.
