it sounds like the headlight switch... lasers dont have a relay I think and this is the problem, all the load of the high beams run through the switch contacts and over time they get dirty and burnt and once there is a load on your headlight switch you will loose all lights...

Small pin hole leak in Fuel tank

Ive got a small pin hole leak in my petrol tank on my GQ, obviously its a petrol model but can the hole be welded up? all it needs is a zap with a mig but can you safely weld on a fuel tank?

any tips or anything?

if your worried about expense dont get a Jet fire! they work well and heat the shed up quick but they drink the Gas! I go through a 9kg bottle getting maybe 3-4 nights in the shed max!

starting issue

Check for hot connections on your battery cables or terminals and earth points etc, a hot connection is a bad point, dirty or poor connection you loose current, if battery leads themselves are getting hot your starter may be drawing excessive current...

Try running one side of a set of jumper leads ...

alt should be charging at about 14.4v while car is running if not then ur alt is not good.

14.4v is a border line high... most cars with a bit of age wont reach 14v due to voltage drop in plugs etc... 13.5v is acceptable, obviously higher the better, but even with a new alternator you probably ...

$20 is a good price, we used to charge $25 each so 20 is good!

Properly serviced injectors will be ultra sonic bathed, flowed, new pintle caps, orings and filter baskets... people who get there injectors cleaned while still in the car is a load of crap!

Battery will also do it if battery voltage is down... Alternator is charging so try charging your battery on a charger and not relying on your alternator to bring your battery back up cause it will never happen... little charger a couple of days and a big charger over night... give it a good charge ...

VE , holden spec oil brand not known. Both engines suffered lifter prob. First one No 4 pot. Second engine not sure.

VE uses the L98 6 Lt I believe not the L76

brake clean works fairly well, we use it at work when we get stuff on customers cars we shouldnt like oil and grease and air con dye (funky stuff!), there is also Graffiti remover you can get from Mitre 10 that says it wont hurt the original paint...

I have a set on my GU, had them on there a while and they are wearing well, they clear themselves well and seem to be doing well in the rocks and stuff.. next time ill get a set of Mickey T's, there a bit cheaper but were unavailable at the time i needed tyres...

My dad has a 1991 NH Pajero and ive got a set of 265/70/16 tyres off my GU patrol that I was going to get some 16" rims and chuck the tyres on the Pajero

Will these fit under the guards etc? will it affect performance etc to much?

My old man just brought a 91 Pajero 2.5 diesel, the front seems to sit a bit lower than the back, do they have a torsion bar you can crank up or something to make it sit a bit higher? any ideas? and if it does how do you do it?
