Can a 2.4 diesel be put in a hilux that had a 2.8 diesel??Its a 1990 model extra cab..
Is it just a drop in job??If so does antone have a good 2.4??

Is there a quick fix for a leaking injector pump on a 2.4 diesel pump in a 2wd hilux? Can i just put a push in seal where the throttle linkage hooks up??

How much gear oil does a toyota hilux 1994 model SR5 2.8 diesel 5 speed hold??And what is the best oil to run in it?

Have you got your gear box sorted? I just got my self a reco gear box out of a 1990 4wd 2.8 diesel hilux,And it looks like its going to be wrong,As mine is chain driven transfer.Have you found out if yours was a chain driven transfer?? If it is we mite be able to do a swap???

Just went out and checked plate
Trans axle G52 And it looks like G285 it was abit hard to read,But the G52 is correct.The other 89 model ute is not here so i cant find out whats on that plate??

This mite be no help,Buti have a 94 hilux with a chain driven transfer,So if you have no luck with the gearbox i mite be interested in the box as mine is ready to shit it self as well..Please give me a call if interested in selling or do a trade ??
