Looks good, is that a slip joint in the middle? Is there a reason the top mount is so far back? Nik It isnt a joint in the middle its just 2 pieces of tube, one inside the other. It lets it slip in and out and rotate left and right. The further apart the mounts are the better it will stop rotation ...

G'day mate, Are you planning on having it registered. Im not entirely sure as i am no trailer manufacturer, put possibly the break system you will require is what is going to influence how your suspension/axles will be setup. I will be picking up a 4.5 tonne tri-axle boat trailer that has just been ...

Unsprung Walking Beam Axles For A Trailer?

Ok so i have been thinking about making another trailer. Flat bed, folding sides and a 4.5T load limit. Now i have been towing a large spray tanker with a tractor and all the trailer has is a 2 axles/hubs on each side. One of each end of a solid beam and a pivot in the centre (no other suspension ...

No, thats about the angle that they are std. If you pull some leaves out of the packs it should improve the angle of the shackels a bit but you will loose some ride height. That said you will also improve the atriculation (if your shocks allow it) and ride. Just know that taking out too many my ...

Dropie you may as well whack the axels into it as one of mine did fall too low into the centre and caused problems. Push the axels in and then you cant get it wrong.

Engine/Gearbox/Trans Weights

Had a bit of a search and couldnt find too much on the weights of the rover drive tran. I found the 3.5 weighs aboyut 144kg, but im also after the 3.9 (is there any differance), the ZF Auto and the transfer case.

to be honest, i wouldn't know to tell. but the springs are fairly good nick, as are all the rest of the gear associated with it. when i am at max ramp, i would estimate the shackle pin/spring eye angle to be about 20+ degrees, so there's a lot of compression and twisting that the bushes have to ...
