Looks good, is that a slip joint in the middle? Is there a reason the top mount is so far back? Nik It isnt a joint in the middle its just 2 pieces of tube, one inside the other. It lets it slip in and out and rotate left and right. The further apart the mounts are the better it will stop rotation ...

Dosent this system used a fixed draw bar point ? Eg minimal up and down movement as to keep the trailer attached. thats the thing, i stuck an axle in there and it protruded a good 10 mm in but im assuming it doesnt stick that far in, more like 5mm when the axles are in their proper place. I might just weld up all the gears as best i can and leave this area open, ill be putting an arb in there in a month or so ...

Engine/Gearbox/Trans Weights
Had a bit of a search and couldnt find too much on the weights of the rover drive tran. I found the 3.5 weighs aboyut 144kg, but im also after the 3.9 (is there any differance), the ZF Auto and the transfer case.
