Hi Ross,
Would extractors off a Patrol GQ 4.2 Diesel go onto a patrol gq 4.2 petrol? And if it does, how much would i be looking at for someone to fit them and 2.5inch exhaust that comes with it?
Thanks

I agree with you that a GQ is just a bit too clunky looking for that kind of money (but a great option for under $10k). Anyone spending $20k today on a GQ that's not seriously and expensively modified would need their head read imho. Jason Under 10k? Do you have any idea about the price of 4bys tha...

the GQ would be an awesome choice. Should be able to pick up a good one for a little under 20k then a little left for some new rubber and maybe new suspension. I'm not just saying that cause i own one but they will probably be the best possible 4by for the price your talking, cause the 80 (which is ...

Thanks for that. I'll basically be going past that around midday. And i really want to get some issues cleaned up, but from the read of that article, i reckon i'll get something like "whats the legality of reducing my gearing so i can travel at 1km/h at 2000revs" with a response of "excuse me?"

Just at the top of the bottom hinge is the thing that holds the door open when fully open. its like a curvy thing that slides over a circular thing. Thats where the problem was with mine, just dirty and needed some grease. I would check that out before changing the hinges.

I don't run my petrol around town. You're supposed to run petrol every now and then to lubricate the engine so whenever to do some offroading i just use petrol

Mines the 4.2 straight 6 petrol and it is terible on fuel economy. Around town it chews about 25L/100km on gas so on my 90L tank i would be lucky to get 350km, but when i fill up, it rarely goes over $35. People say to go diesel cause its more fuel efficient but you can't get it for less than $1.10/...
