Re: Motorcycle bluetooth headset

I have run Cardo Scaler Q2 and never had any dramas with using them in comps...but when we us them on the bikes if we get on different sides of the shed they don't work, thats about 30 - 40 meters apart

I am now running Cardo Scaler G4, these have a few extra functions these don't suffer the same ...

Re: Opinions on engine cranes?

The big difference with the Kincrome one is warranty!
If something does go wrong the will fix it.
Having said that I have a big 3 ton chinese one that I picked up in near new condition at a garage sale for $200 and it has been brilliant.
I have used it a number of times to pick a whole end of the ...

I am running a Currie Antirock bar on the back of my Lux.
They were very easy to deal with via Email and creditcard and just got it sent over.
Very good mod! It has made my front really work heaps better. It used to be just the rear (airshocks) that was flexing because it is a bit softer than the ...

How do you bench teast an auto locker?

I have a detroit that I thought was stuffed but now it was probbably just a CV.
Whats the go?
Chuck the centre in a vice and some axles in either side and then what?
Should the axle only turn one way and lock the other way?

Also has anyone got a good exploded diagram of a Hilux detroit locker?

Tom I dont think you can really blame the tyres for all the damage.
The comp was just a hard mother farker.
And some of that damage was due to your heavy right foot!
Bloody hell you went quick through the mud.
Anyway if you reckon the tyres are to blame swap me for my half worn 39.5 Iroks.

Re: Best 12v water pump for rear mounted Radiator?

My Hilux 2.4 turbo diesel with the rear radiator cools just fine with the standard engine driven pump.
Im thinking when I fit up my 6.0L V8 chev though I will run an extra pump just to be sure.

Re: custom mog axles

Hey Jeff let me know how you get on with the custom shafts as Im thinking I may need to narrow one side of mine.
Even if I offset the rims it sits farken wide with the disc conversion.
Also if I narrow the short side on the front I can fit the diff around the motor a bit better.

One of my mates has built his own chassis out of RHS but it is because he is putting a Mini body over Hilux running gear with a coil sprung rear :D
I think it would be a farken stupid idea building one for a stock standard car when there are heaps of them laying around in wrecking yards.

Re: Question about air shocks??

You can adjust the height of airshocks by changing the nitrogen pressure in them, but its not a change on the fly kinda thing, its a set when you fit them kinda thing.
They are generaly used for off road only projects but I believe they can be aproved if you have a good engineer.

Hilux diff ratios

My mate has an IFS Hilux with a 5LE diesel motor.
The axle code in the engine bay says A07B.
From what I can work out looking on Pirate 4x4 that means it has 3.9 ratio diffs but that doesnt sound right.
I thought diesels had either a 4.3 or a 4.56 ratio?
He has just fitted 33" tyres and want to ...

With no shocks on the back you will get major axle hop when you take off on a high traction surface.
Just go talk to Locktup4x4 and get some nice long Billsteins.

There was no indication that it had a swivel bearing problem until I pulled off the steering arm.

I have 4 x 170 lightforce lights that I run on a rack that I swap between the roof of my truggy and the bullbar of my tow rig.
I was playing in a river down the coast the other day with the tow rig and got water in one of the lights.
The reflector has gone completely black and is rooted.
Does anyone ...
