3.0 turbo diesel Jackeroo

I am looking at buying a second hand 3.0 turbo diesel Jackeroo. It has approx 195,000km on the clock. The dealer tells me it has an oil leak that he is getting fixed. Is there anything that I should look out for and what is the typical life between major rebuilds for these motors?

What do you call latish. Up to 2002 the real 4X4 Sportage had drums on the rear. From then on the new Sportage is full time AWD and all independant, but does have rear disks. Also it is the same car as the Hyundai Tucson.

ARB can supply the AVM manual hubs. I run Wrangler 235/75 R15s on standard rims and do get rubbing on the rear shocks, but then so did the stock tyres. I have the 40mm Ironman lift and find it very firm especially on the front. But the handling is the same as standard. Steer clear of their shocks ...

you can run 30x9.5 with no lift on your orginal rims to
30x9.5 is pretty close to 235/75. I agree they will fit on stock rims under the guards, but I prefer the extra clearance of a lift when off road and flexing.

Sportage front hubs

OK every one, I know, "I told you so". One front hub failed to lock.

So.. What manual hubs fit. Zute says they look a lot like early Pajero!

Can I pick up second hand units that will fit and how much should I expect to pay, or does ARB or some one have them off the shelf, how much?

Also after ...
