Ok going to sound like a retard here bit ordering a locker for my fj73 and trying to get the correct air locker.
So my question is how do i know if its 10 or 12 bolt is it just counting the studs that hold the front third member in.

is it deffinetaly comming from t case.
my uni went one day in the jack shaft and made same sort of noise.
got any more info.

pretty shore 98 coil.
or is that the year they changed.
some one will know for shore.

all ready have welder.
duty cycle is constant. i dont usualy hold the trigger in for more than 10 mins.
so do you think the genny would be ok.
any ones oppinions.

can i run my welder off a generator.
i have got no idea never had any thing to do with them before.
im guessing i need one that has a 15 amp out put as my welder has a 15 amp plug or can i just get a new power point.

mine used to flex well.
but it never went over about 40kph and was undrivable anything over that.

are you running wt.
ive got some 1L ones hear if any one wants some.

ive run welded and unwelded.
if you weld the front be praperd for broken cvs and bad turning circles.
i used to run mine with one hub locked in very good when the power is on if your idling down hill you obvielsy only have engine breaking one one front wheel can be a downfal when it pulls you off ...

diffs are cheap as. do not go to a wrecker or a suzuki place if you dont want ot pay $$$$ would definetly recomend searching on hear and some of the local suzuki sites heaps of ppl selling cheap or wrecking.

no not really, i have bout 5" lift atm on stocker tyres. 2" springs,and i do have large shackles
(double the size made by me) at the moment which limit my front clearance. So i was gonna move the front shackles to the rear which i will have to change the angle the pinion is on also....i have so ...

realy depends on wat your doing with your car(as grimbo said). these gears would be great if you were doing a fair bit of offroad work if they are paired with a set if tcase gears later down the track they would be awsome. realy depends wat your after for price wise.

i was running 36s on my 1L diffs with only an incorrectly set up diif breaking. i was running heat treated cvs in the front. (there on ebay ) but as been said before any one can braek stuff.

my 1L diffs had been converted so ive got the stuff for sale if you cant find any.

just another quick one on the same topic i plan on running turning breaks on each rear wheel when i pull one sie on there for maring the other side spin will this stuff the lsd realy quick. any ideas on how long it will last.

went to a few places today and found some at metal land. was $68 plus gst a m does this sound about right. it was 40 od 20 id so 10 mm wall.

thanx for the tips 3.9 is stamped on cr4own wheel so im guessing thats the ratio.
the lsd if pretty tight at the monet i had tyres on it and couldnt get it to slip bye hand not much force but. if i lift a wheel it will not work like a locker tho will it.

just pulled centre out of my gqs hopping to weld up and its an lsd. :cry:
is there any way that i can weld this?
are they any good as an lsd?
its only goign in my zook so im quite happy to have a welded rear in it.
any ideas about wat i should do?
how can i tell wat ratio they are with out ...

appart from going up 2 inches in tyre size how.

just wondering if any one has got any picks of there shaved gq diffs and how much clearence they made.

it will be used on a zook.
any ideas on price of the 12mm wall hollow bar.
do yous think im better off to go the rhs than teh tube for strenth.
im not a huge fan of the look of rhs links thats all.
i would of thought that solid bar would of bent easier than hollow. dont know why. when you used solid ...

mick, it aint cheap but the schedule 240 is the best for lowers. 12.7mm wall 42.2mm seamless pipe i believe. wont bend.

any idea where to get it from in brizzy i went to sims and they just looked at me funny when i said i wanted a 12mm wall pipe.

just wondering if any knows any tricks of how to get carbies working on steep inclines. ive got an external fuel pump so no problem of fuel getting there. the carbie is a standard 1.6 gemini carbie. :lol: im realy close to considering going gas.
any ideas on wat this would cost?
