What is the conidition of you coolant? When was it changed last?

I dont' think it has to be hot. You can check it hot or cold, and either way it should be somewhere between the low and high mark. Sump oil isn't a precise measurement.

I got one of the Airflow snorkels and although its not as streamlined as the safari models i quite like it. The design was improved and looks a lot better than the original they had and the quality looks really good now too.

Be careful pulling that idler shaft out. I am nearly certain there is thrust washers on or near the end of it. ONLY pull it out as far as you must to replace the o ring.

Is the air filter blocked?
Exhaust blocked?
Water in the fuel?
Blocked Fuel filter(s)?

Are you 100% the timing is spot on. Did you touch the auto timer?

What is idle set at? Is it just to low to begin with?

Injector lines are blocked?

Delivery valves blocked?

I know all 6 being blocked is unlikely, but you never know.
