Excellent, thank you for the picture. So just to confirm, all those black earth wires there, you just folded them up and taped them off ( except for the short earth that screws into the Pertronix base plate ) so its as easy as undoing the tape and revert to the points and condensor setup again? None ...

Any chance of someone posting a picture of how the 1762LS Pertronix looks installed? I am going to give this a try myself since the 1762LS doesnt require any grinding and cutting. But to confirm can someone who has fitted the 1762LS tell me if I am not correct? I wasnt planning on removing anything ...

Often not able to run LPG switching from petrol

My problem has been progressively getting worse. I have a 1993 TB42 Dual fuel. I used to be able to crank the engine and start the truck with half a turn of the ignition. This had been the norm for ages. Then it used to take an extra crank to get the engine started. It then started to take several ...

Ended up taking it to a local autoelectrician and he managed to get a 2nd hand regulator from the wreckers and it worked out to be $180 all up.

Abit steep for a 2nd hand unit but at least the window is working again.

Or you can pull the head yourself and shoot it off to a specialist Head Reconditioner (or just buy a new casting). I did mine and, to be honest, it was pretty straight forward. Saved about $1-$1.5k on the repair. If you need any help, feel free to PM me. Thanks for the input guys. I pour 2 bottles ...

Thank you all for this thread.

Completed this excercise on the weekend and it was spot on.

Managed to pour almost 12L into the radiator after draining the block.

It was actually a 14mm bolt under the exhaust manifold and yes water pissed out everywheres.

Thanks again.
