cheers for the info. sold 60's longs and bought 80 series longs and so far the hi pin diff has taken the abuse fine :armsup: pity i blew the rear carrier pin to bits half way thru a winch challenge :oops: too much foot while bouncing, had a lockright in the rear which is the cause of breakage due to ...

im after some information on axle lengths and the difference between 60 series and 80 series

i know the 80 series is a wider unit but a lot of that is in the hub so im wondering if my 30spline 60 series longfields and cv's will fit into the 80 series housing?

also will the 80 series hi pin diff ...

pretty happy with the ...

the bar is fitted and i would say its better than the 80 series bar !,

fair bit of messing around with mounting but the bar itself is better, has more side protection as the sides come right up and over the bottom of the flares for protection. looks good to.

the way i figure it theres nothing a grinder and a welder cant fix, so i bought the bar and mounting hardware,has cost me about half the price of a new one and after i modify the mounts it will be primo, the 100 series has a much wider chassis so all i have to do is mod the mounting plates by ...

hi guys, i have an 80 series cruiser,95 VX manual etc etc etc ... wanting to put an ARB bull bar on it on a budget. have heard that a 100 series will fit with minor bracket modifications? have found a well looked after second hand 100 series bar so keen to mod it on.

my father has a 91 VX 4.2td ltd and im talking to him about doing this conversion as he is wanting to put a locker in the front.

a: will the part time kit fit into these trucks the same as a normal 80 ?
b: is it just a case of poping the tail off the ...

mines the early model 1970 so will have to re drill i guess...

cool, so they are all the same size ( 9" ) as the 40 diff just have different Drive shaft to pinion flange bolt spacings... ? ?

what other model cruiser diffs will fit into the rear of my FJ40 ? 30 spline 4.1 ratio ?

ok, i have a 40 :D iits the freekin best machine in the world :armsup: i have run it in standard 2F trim for 6000years :cool: cos its that old :? AND I JUST CANT KILL IT NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY !

i have turned the steering link rod into a banana from a stooopid winching manuver(totally stoopid and i should have known better)pulled the rod off,bent it back into shape,mostly straight, and the double arm is still fine so...not loose,bent ...

on my 40 when i did the disk conversion i re did the steering and added powersteer as well, to aid this i did my hi steer arm with a few ideas from the net and from guys here in NZ. bolted another arm on top of the existing one,with a slight bend in it ...

crapper, yea was just working out rotation after reversal

and the 80series has a smaller diff crapper to that to

looks like i may be stuck with high angles on my front prop shaft for a while longer.... ahh well, least its strong as hell
