Exhaust. I have a 2.5", and feel it's too big - I think it's knocked too much off the low-down torque, so it's not as good when crawling. Fortunately, I have crawler gears. :D Some exhaust techs have advised 2.25" for the 3 litre, and I suspect they're right.

Well all done now, dam what a job!

i ended up taking the engine out and am glad i did. I found a head of stuff that needed attention. All up the paj got

* new clutch (thrust and spiggot bearings and fly wheele machined)
* oil pump replaced as well as oil change
* plugs, leades, coil re-wired (as ...

hey guys, i have a problem.
i have a NA 1984 swb pajero, it has a holden v8 motor and turbo 350 auto box with a Marks 4wd auto to transfer case adaptor.
i have been having trouble shifting gears from 2wd to 4wd and low 4wd, i'm not sure what other people do, put the auto in park to shift or roll on ...

hey man, pretty sure that it would be 4.88's. pull the centre out, mark a tooth on the crown wheel, turn the flange by hand and count how many turns you make befor the crown comes all the way around. i had one, but we put it into a buggy....

time to do the clutch....

Well my clutch went last weekend and was looking for some info about doing it. Those who have do it them self i would like to know if you lifted out the engine or droped the gear box. Basicly i have a crain available but not sure which would be the better way to go about it.

if you wanna use a commo v6 use the t700 auto as well and you can mate it to a range rover transfer case. kind like how most of the buggies on the we rock circuit are.

but seriously,

go with a tourer tent with a side pole kit over a turbo tent. The tourer will set up just as fast and pack away much smaller. If you need anything come in and see me at work

How would the front CVs cope with that sort of lift?



looks like its only got a big arse body lift, which would mean there would be no stress on the cv's except for the big tires. if you look at the pic from front on, the angle of the cv's is almost flat.

it looks cool but a body lift that big ...

if your looking for roof racks for a paj try "prorack" brand they have a extencive range and are a reasonable priced. Good quality too, Prorack manufacture most genuine parts for various car companies.

but a swb is about 96" im pretty sure, add another 4 or 5" and most ppl would say youve got the perfect wb

96 1/4 to be exact :) but your right you would not want any more than 101 or 102" if your running 37's

The "clicks" sound like CVs on their way out. That's not good. :cry:


Is it 4wd when you hear the clicking. If it's only in 2wd then the cv's are not under any load and won't be your noise :?:

even in 2wd the cv's will be turning because of the locked hubs. it would only be if you have fitted ...
