Standard TD42 turbo housings with BB CHRA ??

I have considered all turbo upgrade/replacements options for the Patrol but the full replacement is costly. Does anyone know if you can fit a Garrett ball bearing CHRA in the standard Nissan Turbo housings. As there are several companies that machine the housings to hi flow them I would imagine ...

Reading this thread I think you are asking a little too much to have a turbo on full boost by 1400rpm and expect to hold out until 3-4000 rpm. Even if you dont drive in that range, when you need to one day the turbo will be too restrictive. Unfortunately its all a compromise on what you want. i am ...

This is of the topic a bit but how does the GT25 perform.

I will be doing this upgrade in the near future but want to ensure boost comes on nice and early. When does this reach full boost in the rev range.

Do you have the full specs of the turbo.

Cheers

Well done on the research.

I know there is another kit out there using Firestone but it appears you have put a lot of time and effort into the whole package.

Cant wait for more info.

Would be very interested in a GU setup.

I have thought about making one but would like to know peoples thoughts on the following. What if any advantage would a 3" snorkel give you. The Safari and others would be close to this so would there be any great advantage. The reamining of the factory plumbing would probably still be smaller than ...

Who cares what it drives like.

Still the most capable standard 4 wheeler out there. A few extra mods as well and you have a great tough vehicle.

Who wants to drive a landcruiser, pajero and the like with all the electronic bullsh*t.

Give me a Patrol any day.

So to use this style you have to replace the priming pump with this? which leaves you with no way of priming the system. Or do you just add it as an extra filter prior to the priming pump.

Which way is correct.

They must see this as a growing market to do it. The pricing is competitive, they always seem more expensive than most.

Seems as they are the Kings SP range.

From what I have seen and heard of JPC turbo petrol engines, why would you consider anything else.

Give JPC a call.

$7500 sounds expensive, plus I heard a couple of bad stories with AXTs units.

UniMig have a good reputation, the other to try is a Lincoln SP170, for their size they are meant to be a great unit.

Agree with the other guys dont go to small or you will regret it later.

The problem with these bars is it fuels the whole bull bar debate. I understand the comp guys using these but to have them for a vehicle that is driven around town and weekend work is a joke. There are plenty of people that use the standard bars for hard 4wdriving without any hassles.
