i "read" somewhere that it sits higher as the shock towers aint exactly the same either side - something to do with the steering clearance

how about the VH41 or 45 ? both making around the 200kw mark (claimed to be more) and high 300Nm and low 400Nm respectively. they go for around the $1500 mark and once you factor in ancilleries it should still be cheaper then a gen3 or xr6t. then thereis the option of forced induction, i think this ...

rb26 - you wont find a good one for ~3k and you dont put one of those into a 4wd rb25 - capacity is getting low here guys, if anything get the efi bits and turbo, mani from a vl turbo and put that onto your rb30. pete, for what a new 4.8 is worth its probably gonna be better for you to get a VH41 or VH45. Just get 2.5 inch press bent - the mandrel bends won't make that much difference on what i presume is a diesel - only hi revving motors really need em.... for $1400 you are better off with press bent 3 inch if worried - extra diameter might compensate for press bends - not sure. My exhaust shop ...
