mine runs a hot 308 with a h55 (early gearbox). the change from 1st to 2nd is a mater of seconds. it doesn't have the syncro problems of the later model boxes ...

Having abit of trouble finding something that will lift my motor out damm 6inch lift and 35's. Have rang a few places and there engine cranes arnt high enough to clear the body. I have had both motor conversions in two different FJ40s that i owned a few years ago.
350 Chev in one and 351 clev in the other.
the chev is the common conversion but i my opinoin the ford motor was better in the long run.
the Ford motor requires the Bronco sump which is pricy.

So let me get this straight! You're allowed a 2" spring & 2" body lift at the same time, but you can't have a straight 4" lift in Queensland even if it's engineered. I thought engineers overuled the RTA or DOT to a certain point, otherwise what's the point in having them! Are there any engineers on ...
