Sounds like you'll need new pump seals - they can be stuffed by by low sulphur fuel on older vehicles.

I looked at both about 8 months ago, and found it pretty hard to walk past a factory TD 79series. The cab is a little wider and 5 inches longer than a 75series and the TD motor is very nice. Coil fronts and leaf rears rides really well with a bit of a load. And the view over the bonnet was stacks ...
