Extractors with the 4-2-1 setup tend to work better at low revs, creating more "bottom end" , where as the 4-1 style tend to preoduce better high end power. Layto.... My 16 valve MPFI Vitara has the standard exhaust manifold which dumps 4 to 1. It's good off the mark and low down torque is good but ...

I think every motor vehicle ever made has rear brakes. Take the brake drums off and have a look at the brake shoes. There should be plenty of 'meat' on the steel backing. If not, put new ones on.

I had a similar issue. None of mine worked so I swapped the bulbs from one side to the other and now half of them work. You cant buy the bulbs! Suzuki will only sell you the whole assembly. Narva etc, dont make that size bulb and the specialist electronics places (Jaycar etc) were no help either. My ...

Hi, I use 2 different types of GPS. I have a computer running OziExplorer in my Vitara (you can see the screen in my Avatar on the pass side). LWB Vitara towing limits?

Hi,

I know I have read them on here but I cant find it now!

Tks in advance.

Well my friend, that depends on what the problem is. If it's a head gasket it fairly common, cracks are less common but do happen.

Good luck with it.

Hi, There are a few ways that water and oil can mix in your engine but in general it's not good. The most common are a blown head gasket or a cracked head/block. As was suggested check for bubbles in the radiator after the thermostat is open and also check your compression. You need to find where ...

cut out enough bonnet to let it close and put a scoop over the top. There should be plenty at wreckers off Toranas and Commodores to cover the hole.

Would you believe, I need to do this to make my battery fit?

Hi SiKiD,

Currently the 'power band' is very low in the rev range. It wants to chug up a hill in top gear rather than free rev in third.

I think opening her up (header and larger dia pipe) might give more power above 3k rpm. But I am happy to be corrected there.
