The idle adjustment screw on a 16 valvle EFI Vitara is on the tope rear of the throttle body recessed about 10mm below the top.

Re: Noise when braking at the back?
I think every motor vehicle ever made has rear brakes. Take the brake drums off and have a look at the brake shoes. There should be plenty of 'meat' on the steel backing. If not, put new ones on.Crawford wrote: Does a 87 sierra have rear brakes?

I had a similar issue. None of mine worked so I swapped the bulbs from one side to the other and now half of them work. You cant buy the bulbs! Suzuki will only sell you the whole assembly. Narva etc, dont make that size bulb and the specialist electronics places (Jaycar etc) were no help either. My...

GPS
Hi, I use 2 different types of GPS. I have a computer running OziExplorer in my Vitara (you can see the screen in my Avatar on the pass side). I mostly do 4WD touring and travel with my kids only so I need a computerised navigator. OziExplorer is great for my purpose. I also use a Garmin eTrex that ...

LWB Vitara towing limits?
Hi,
I know I have read them on here but I cant find it now!
Does anyone know the braked and unbraked towing capacities of the LWB Vitara JLX with G16B (1.6 efi) engine. Mine is a 1991 model.
Tks in advance.
Cheers

crs01 wrote:(clip)......is this an unusual problem or have i just purchased a lemon?
Well my friend, that depends on what the problem is. If it's a head gasket it fairly common, cracks are less common but do happen.
Good luck with it.

Hi, There are a few ways that water and oil can mix in your engine but in general it's not good. The most common are a blown head gasket or a cracked head/block. As was suggested check for bubbles in the radiator after the thermostat is open and also check your compression. You need to find where yo...

Hi CJ, I had my transfer case overhauled this week and that was one of the items that was replaced. But as it was done by a transmission shop I dont have any part numbers etc. The noise that I have been complaining about for some months was a bearing directly behind the seal that was close to comple...

When I was in the US in 1997 I saw a lot of utes without tail gates but with a net of nylon material stretched across the back. It was in a square cross over pattern with fabric about 3 inches across and holes about the same size. I didnt have a good look at one to see what the fabric was though. I ...
