On the issue of getting the shackles engineered, it depends how cocky the engineer is and how he puts them on the report, i had one report where they where written as longer replacement shackles instead of extended.

Mineonly overheats on the freeway under load. The fluid coupling fans only work up to about 2500rpm, they are only a slow speed thing, if they were locked up all the time they would have less benifit. I'll put it this way. if your doing 3000rpm in 1st gear you are moving the same amount of air that ...

radiator hose

I'm pretty sure they only use springs in radiator hoses to prevent it from squashing when the vechile is cooling down and trying to such fluid from the overflow back into the cooling system. Possitive pressure due to heat prevents this happening while the vechile is running

i recon the best way is to knock up your own bunnings or simular sell some axles or if you want t o go all out your local bearing company can set you up. it will probably cost you $50. i built one a little while ago. still going strong

G'day work at a specialist brake work shop

They dont make bendix metals anymore, but either bendix 4wd or heavy duty are the way too go. EBC are going to be roughly the same as heavy duty bendix. it all depends on how you drive your truck.

GQ's right you have the lock plate which sits on the adjuster, do what he said. if that fails, cut the drum off, just be careful not to cut the wheel cylinder!!

Thanks guys

the motor isn't blown yet, it has noisy bearings and cam so a new engine would be the go, i'm tempted to do the engine my self at work but dont want the hasle of it. how much engine mount mods would have to be done to fit the calibra motor in?

Thanks again
