Is the bottom end in a 2L the same as the bottom end in a 2LT (oil galleries, pistons etc...) and if it isn't, what are the differances??? Also, do all 2lt's have 2lt written on the block...? No, the 2L-T engine is completely different the crank has bigger main bearing journals & ten bolt flywheel ...

The part time dx only differs in the transfer...and they are interchangeable...there is a t/d on ebay at the moment for 23k looks ok, but too dear if u ask me. I have a busted 83 Lux that for some reason the previous owner fitted two different ratio diffs< I suspect the rear was stuffed or geared to low for the turbo engine with 4 speed box, I was looking for replacment diffs and found that the Hiace had the same diffs, Hilux diffs are advertised for $250 ...
